"The Collector" is Cape Town's oldest established non-European Arts Gallery dealing primarily in authentic traditional art of Africa.

The owner of "The Collector", Colin Sayers, was first introduced to the traditional art of Africa (as opposed to curios) thirty two years ago. It was four years later that he acquired his first piece. In 1978 he established "The Collector" in Johannesburg.
He re-located to Cape Town in 1984 and has continued trading as "The Collector"
since then.

"The Collector" deals in traditional art of the finest quality from throughout the African continent.

Clients include the residence of the South African State President, public institutions, dealers and individual collectors in Europe and the United States of America.
